Access ADP:

Enterprise-Quality Applications in MS Access

Very candidly, Microsoft Access used to have a poor reputation for mission-critical software development. Access has always been a great tool for rapid systems development. But the results were shaky - slow, crash-prone, glitchy..

ADP has changed all that: ADP is Microsoft's extension of Access into the world of "Client Server". If an application is developed using ADP, it is fast, reliable, robust - suitable for Fortune1000 deployment!

What is ADP? ADP is an extension to Access (provided by Microsoft). It allows Access to make full use of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft's enterprise-quality database engine. It also enables a full range of client-server software techniques. Screens and reports can still be written very much in the informal rapid style that we all like about Access. But the end-result looks and behaves as if it was written by a team of senior programmers using Visual Basic. Access ADP applications can reliably process databases with millions of records and operate with blinding speed. Access ADP allows true client-server applications, using the friendly familiar Access platform as a foundation.

Old Access applications can generally be migrated to ADP: If you have an old, badly functioning Access application, there is a good chance that most screens and reports can be adapted to ADP - you don't need to start from scratch.

We are masters of ADP: We have worked with ADP since its inception, and we have successful deployments to show. Call for more information.
